God Consciousness, or Krishna Consciousness, is simple and sublime. It is supported by a vast library of transcendental literature that can be studied, imbibed, relished, and shared, and it is also readily available to an innocent and sincere heart.
In my early childhood, I used to tuck myself under the covers at night and wiggle my fingers, embracing the intimacy that only God and I knew what I was doing. Yes, that is God Consciousness. It can be as simple as acknowledging in wonderment how the earth, under the direction of Krishna, produces so many varieties of fruits and vegetables, with so many colors and fragrances, or how the multitudes of variegated life forms, that allowed to exist as nature intended, are so perfect in their interactions. As no building is constructed without a preliminary blueprint, which assumes that there is human intelligence behind it, nothing in the creation is present without the prerequisite intelligence and plan of the Supreme Person behind it.
Our spiritual life is at every moment, not just when we are in church, at the temple, or engaged in our morning meditation. Every moment presents the choice, to remember God or not, and to remember Him gives the greatest joy.
